Bills: money you owe

A bill is something you owe a vendor and will pay later: the supplier who invoices you monthly, the subcontractor you settle up with on Friday. Record it when it arrives; mark it paid when you actually pay. In between, it counts toward Owed by you on your dashboard, so the number never lies to you.

Find Bills in the account menu (your avatar, top right).

Bills → + New bill: the vendor, a category, the amount, the bill date and the due date, plus the vendor’s own invoice number as a Reference if you want it.

  • Mark paid settles it in one go: method, date, and which account it was Paid from.
  • Record a payment handles installments. The bill keeps score (“$500.00 of $2,000.00 · $1,500.00 still owing”) and closes itself when the balance reaches zero. Vendor refunds go in the same form.
  • Void cancels a bill that shouldn’t exist; what was still owed comes off your total.

The Aging report (top of the Bills list) buckets every open bill by how overdue it is: current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, 90+ days. Friday’s “who do I actually need to pay?” takes ten seconds.
