Record getting paid
When a customer pays by card through their invoice link, Thalermark records it for you. Everything else (cash, check, Venmo, Zelle) you record yourself, from the invoice’s page.
Paid in full, in one tap
Section titled “Paid in full, in one tap”On a sent invoice, use Mark paid. The quick menu lets you pick the method in one go (Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle, or Other), or open the panel to add a check number, the date, and which account the money was Deposited into.
Partial payments
Section titled “Partial payments”Use Record a payment instead and enter the amount that actually arrived. The invoice keeps honest score: “$600.00 of $1,200.00 · $600.00 still owed.” Record as many payments as it takes; the invoice flips to paid on its own when the balance hits zero.
The same form handles refunds: switch the type to “Refund or credit.” And if you record something by mistake, every payment row has a Remove that reverses it cleanly.
Deposits before the work starts
Section titled “Deposits before the work starts”A draft invoice has a Received a deposit? section. Enter what they gave you and click Record it: the invoice is issued and the deposit is logged in one step, and the customer’s copy shows Paid to date and Balance due. You can still email it to them whenever you like.
Let reminders do the chasing
Section titled “Let reminders do the chasing”Turn on automatic reminders in Settings → Reminders: a gentle heads-up before the due date, a nudge after, on the schedule you choose. Reminders always quote what’s still owed (a customer who paid a deposit is only chased for the balance), and they stop the moment an invoice is paid in full.
Got a customer who needs kid gloves? Every invoice has its own Pause for this invoice switch, so you can keep reminders on for everyone else.
