Quote work with estimates

An estimate is a quote: what the work will cost if they say yes. It doesn’t touch your numbers until it becomes an invoice.

Estimates → + New estimate. The form works exactly like an invoice: same contact picker, same line items and tax, with one difference. Instead of a due date there’s an optional Expires date. Leave it blank for an open-ended quote.

Send estimate emails the customer a link to their copy. You get a share link too, for texting it over.

While the estimate is out, the customer’s copy has two buttons: Accept and Decline. Their answer shows up on your side immediately, and the dashboard’s Open estimates and Accepted tiles keep count.

Said yes on the phone instead? Use Mark accepted yourself. A quote that died on the vine can be closed out with Mark declined. That’s final, so if they come back later, Duplicate it into a fresh one.

On an accepted estimate, click Convert to invoice. Every line carries across into a new draft invoice, ready to send. The estimate remembers it’s been converted, so you can’t accidentally bill the same quote twice.

Sent the wrong price? Fix this estimate pulls it back the same way invoices work, and the customer can’t accept it until you resend the corrected version.
